Wombat Web Design are expanding and are looking to engage the services of a freelance creative writer / copywriter to help with website content.

We are looking for someone with a quirky sense of humour who is outgoing and easy to work with, and can write engaging content. It is important that any content generated can fit in with our current relaxed writing style, examples of which can be seen under Our Work.

Previous writing experience is preferred but not essential, although we will be looking to see at least four pieces of work, with a description of the client brief.

This will be a freelance position at the moment but could well develop into a full / part time position in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design and build websites using the latest web technologies
• Design and build user interfaces for modern web applications
• Work with our team to deliver a polished final product

Requirements:

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, web standards and semantic web markup
• Design visuals, including sketches, wireframes, design concepts
• Experience coding websites for Joomla or WordPress
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to convert design concepts into working websites using clean, hand-written code
